Penetmeters provide a quantitative evaluation of sensitivity and image quality in the radiographic inspection. Each penetrameter contains a set of wires of various diameters and covers a certain limit of radiographic sensitivity. Steel, aluminium, copper, stainless steel, nickel, titanium penetrameters are available which conforms to ASTM and EN ISO standards.
